We made a series of one of a kind shibori scarves after learning some Japanese resist techniques from studying with the world renowned Yoshiko Wada at Haystack School of Crafts in Maine. The scarves were created by pre-binding the lilac knitted cashmere scarf, then dyeing, untieing and embellishing with rhinestuds to incorporate the dyed design. The sides have little darts from the binding and dyeing, so the scarf isn't a straight rectangle. This lilac and pale blue scarf has metal rhinestones in lilac, peach, and light pink embellishing the length of the scarf.

Dry clean only. If the side edges curl from humidity, you may safely flatten them back out by using a steam iron on the inside (unembellished) side of the scarf or shawl.
